Ghosting Phenomenon Increasingly Popular Because Of Kaesang Pangarep, Armada Bands Create The Song

JAKARTA - Many netizens think Kaesang Pangarep is ghosting Felicia Tissue. This assumption originated from the upload of a friend of Felicia named Kimberley who wrote down her disappointment because Kaesang was judged to be unclear after being in a relationship with Felicia for five years.

“For five years you dated my friend, brought her out in public, and made her believe that she was the one for you. Then for no reason, you start to disappear (ghosting) her as if she never had any value in your life."

"If you have a reason, what makes you think you have every right to leave her when she's been by your side all this time?" wrote the owner of the @kimberleyneo's Instagram account.

Felicia's mother, Meilia, also shared some of the promises that Kaesang had made to her daughter. That's why netizens suspect Kaesang is ghosting.

Ghosting is an English term, with the basic word "ghost" which means shadow or specter in Indonesian. Young people today often use the term ghosting in the context of relationships.

That is, people who are ghosting are people who suddenly disappear or walk away without notifying or contacting someone who is receiving the ghosting. There are a number of reasons people ghosting in a relationship. It could be that they no longer want to have a relationship of love, feel bored, don't want to be disturbed, and even have new mates.

However, Kaesang has clarified that his relationship with Felicia ended in January. "So, I actually broke up in mid-January yesterday. I was also cursed at, but it's okay, I will just be quiet," said Kaesang in a clarification video circulating on social media.

The phenomenon of ghosting like what happened to Kaesang Pangarep turned out to have been made by Armada Band as the inspiration for their new song entitled Aku Di Matamu (I'm in your eyes). "This song is a story about someone who was abandoned for unclear reasons. The theme of the song is about when we were abandoned by someone we care about, suddenly disappearing like ghosting phenomenon in the present era," Mai said in an exclusive interview with VOI Editor, Thursday, March 4, 2021.

The song Aku Di Matamu (I'm in your eyes) was released in two languages; Indonesia and Korea. The idea to release a bilingual song originally came from Rizal when he was recording vocals. Collaborating with Rizal to create lyrics, Mai said that the theme of the song follows the phenomenon of ghosting which is currently popular on social media.

"Maybe he didn't say it because there was something he couldn't tell. So our job is just to pray. The moral message is not to wrongly prejudice because we don't know what the actual conditions are," said Mai.

Andit hopes that this song can be accepted by Indonesian music lovers. "What we want from all Armada songs, including this song, it can bring benefits to many people. Hopefully, those who listen to it can be entertained. It can represent the feelings of each person who listens, it is related to their life too," said Andit.
