Promotor Party Reveals Reasons For The Cancellation Of Alesana And Converge To Appear At Hammersonic Festival 2024

The Hammersonic Festival 2024 which will take place at Carnaval Beach Ancol, North Jakarta on May 4 and 5, will present dozens of hard music' performers from within and outside the country.

But unfortunately, Alesana and Converge will certainly not attend, even though they were previously included in the line-up uploaded to the official Hammersonic Festival Instagram account.

Dede Rianta alias Deri who represented Ravel Entertainment as the promoter said that Alesana canceled her appearance at the Hammersonic Festival this year due to Shawn Milke cs's scheduled gig in the United States which was also canceled.

"Alesana before going to Indonesia, they played in the US (United States). Now, for access to Indonesia, they have to do three flights. Because the US stage was canceled, finally, what was here was canceled too," said Dede Rinata during a press conference in Kemang, South Jakarta on Thursday, May 2.

"Because it is beyond our authority, yes we can't do anything," he said.

Meanwhile, to cancel Converge's appearance at the Hammersonic Festival, Deri said that the guitarist's current condition, Kurt Ballou, did not allow him to come and appear in Jakarta.

"For Converge, everyone seems to already know, the guitarist is sick. It seems that when it comes to health, we raise our hands, we can't do anything anymore," he said.

However, Hammerheads don't need to be discouraged, there are still performances from musicians and other bands, such as Lamb of God, A Day To Remember, Cradle of Filth, Suicide Silence, SAOSIN, Yngwie Malmsteen, Marty Friedman, and many other names from within and outside the country.

Reflecting on the Lamb of God which was actually prepared to perform last year, it is not impossible that Alesana and Converge will appear at the Hammersonic Festival in the years to come.

"We actually planned the lamb of God for last year with Slipknot. But because the schedule didn't match, we finally decided to Lamb of God to become a headliner this year," concluded Dede Rianta.
