Ibu Records Language Invites Local Musicians To Introduce Their Works To The National Music Industry

JAKARTA - Demajors record label now has Ibu Records (BIR) as a sub-label focused on popular musical works that have a narrative of local Indonesian traditions.

BIR was founded as a form of dedication to preserving Indonesia's traditional musical wealth while continuing to support its wider socialization.

Aldila Karina as the Director of Communications demajors also invited musicians in various parts of Indonesia to jointly preserve traditional Indonesian culture.

For musicians or music groups who already have works with certain criteria, where the lyrics of the songs use regional languages, they can register to join BIR.

"If you have a music release that uses regional languages and is traditional or contemporary in nature with good quality and ready to be released, and in a solid band, it can be immediately visited to www.biburecords.id," said Aldila Karina at Pondok Labu, South Jakarta some time ago.

"There is a submission column, just fill it in, later our team will curate and we will invite them to be released. So it is that open, because they have the right to get the same place as other musicians," he continued.

Meanwhile, Badrus Zeman, the frontman Lorjhu who has joined BIR, said the existence of this record label would help local artists develop their music to be heard by more people.

"I think it's very important. Not only that there is a medium that accommodates it, not that too, but many things. Because we are starting to lack local content basics, one of which is regional language," said Badrus.

"I'm sure that in every region there are artists or musicians who also work in regional languages. That's what I see. This is one thing that can be achieved, then it can be developed again, so that more listeners," he concluded.
