SAE Collaborates With Yovie Widianto In Single Debut, 'Kurang Apa'

JAKARTA - SAE is a new band consisting of musicians who have been poor across the country's music industry. This band is reinforced by Bowo (vocals), Koko (guitar), Inal (bass) and Ridho (drums).

SAE comes with a debut single entitled Lack of What. They work with Yovie Widianto who acts as producer

Yovie admitted that he liked SAE's debut single which was written by Koko. He said the band had gyrovy music with a unique rhythm. They are also said to have a touch of 1980s music with a touch of R&B.

"This is a pop composition with a slightly R&B shirt. But it has the peculiarities and placement of lyrics, melodies, and harmony that make them have the opportunity to penetrate the Indonesian industry with fans who can be even wider," said Yovie Widianto in his statement, Tuesday, March 5.

In addition, their respective characteristics make me believe that SAE can produce quality works. That's what makes me interested in supporting and working with SAE," he continued.

Meanwhile, Less Apa is a musical work that also depicts emotional travel that describes the feelings of someone who is almost desperate in his relationship.

"SAE explores the theme of a person's concern who always feels lacking in the eyes of his partner. This song is a call to be more sensitive to the feelings of a partner and encourages courage to re-knit a torn relationship," said Koko.

For Koko, Lack of Apa is an intermediary for the band to convey a positive message to all couples to always be sensitive to each other's feelings, and avoid making their partners feel down and support each other.

"Relationships are not just about love and sweet things. Sometimes, in relationships, we have to accept disappointment, conflict and others," said Bowo.

This song is pop genre with touching melodies and inspiring lyrics. The production process of the song itself is unique, carried out during the pandemic a few years ago. Despite being physically separated, SAE members still managed to produce works that maintain quality.

SAE's debut single entitled Less What can already be enjoyed on various digital streaming platforms (DSP) in Indonesia.
