St. Vincent Gandeng Dave Grohl On His New Album

JAKARTA - St. Vincent revealed, Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters appeared on his new album.

These American songwriters tell that Foos and Cate Le Bon frontmen will appear on their new album, which he describes as psychotics' and post-discussed pops.

The artist whose real name is Annie Clark revealed in a new interview with MOJO that she started working on a new album as soon as 'Daddy's Home' in 2021, which NME describes in four-star reviews as its warmest album'.

While he hasn't revealed much detail about what fans expect, the singer confirmed that Foo Fighters' new drummer Josh Freese is also among the Small Destroyer Group consisting of musicians contributing.

St. Vincent previously collaborated with Grohl for years of live performances, including performances with his daughter Violet, Beck, and a surviving member of Nirvana for a reunion performance at LA in 2020.

Grohl, Beck, and St. Vincent also brought Clondie's 'Rapture' cover at a gala event in Los Angeles in 2018. Two years later, St. Vincent teamed up with Grohl to cover Nine Inch Nails' 'Piggy' before the band was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

One of the songs on St. Vincent's new album, he said, was written from the point of view of deep microscopic wounds, because they were underestimated... just walking on the street and feeling like barrels, as if someone was looking at you in the wrong way where you could explode.

He added that this mindset may be influenced by post-COVID-19 feeling of not feeling well, saying: Isolations like that causeENSia and loneliness, and loneliness can give birth to violence. In terms of sound, this album features 70s and 80s analogous synths with dominating guitar sounds.

He continued, although his last album showed his approach to a difficult' subject with horm and intelligence that bite', the album was darker, harder, and closer to bone.

"I think this is my least funny album! Nothing funny about it," he said.
