JAKARTA - As a celebration of three decades of music, Base Jam released a mini album (EP) titled 3[6]0. This is their eighth EP, which in recent years has only released singles.
The selection of album titles is also very unique. 3[6]0 marks the journey of 30 years of Base Jam. And number 6 shows the current number of band personnel, namely Sigit (vocals), Aris (guitar), Sita (bass), Oni (guitar), Alvin (vocals) and Alsa (drums).
"When we discussed what the title of this album was, we knew it would be a story. But when the idea was number 360 and then writing 3[6]0 which emphasized the numbers 30 and 6, it felt very suitable and represented our current messages, feelings and conditions," said Base Jam drummer, Alsa in a written statement, Tuesday, January 30.
The album 3[6]0 which contains five songs tells the storyline of the cycle of the heart and various stages of its journey. All the trips are assembled into a circle, ranging from heartbreak, calm, seeking confidence in oneself, continuing to walk towards a future full of promises of true love.
Base Jam personnel are clearly proud of the presence of this latest mini album. The reason is, they can still work together at the age of three decades.
Last year when we turned 29, it felt amazing and didn't believe it. Now, you can at the age of 30 and be able to release a mini album, it's a new pride and happiness for us again," said Sigit, the vocalist.

The five songs that appear on this album are the work of each personnel who are then re-selected. After being selected, the song one with another seems to have a story in it.
The story that turns out to also describe feelings or journeys of feelings, hearts, when experiencing and feeling love, said Aris, the guitarist.
"This is like intentional, but it started naturally, honestly, and that's what we also feel very proud about," concluded Alvin.
