New News From The Cradle Of Filth About Collaboration With Ed Sheeran

JAKARTA - The Cradle Of Filth provides new information about the release of their collaborative song with Ed Sheeran.

This collaboration was first revealed in 2021, when vocalist Dani Filth revealed that he was in touch with Sheeran and the pop star invited him to his place.

The track work progressed in 2022 according to Filth, with work then stopped because Sheeran became a father.

Filth then took a photo with Sheeran and producer Scott Atkins at a pub at the end of 2022, with a tentative release date for the summer of 2023 then set.

Although the song has not yet been released, Filth has now spoken on Polish YouTube channel Pemencana Kulturka about the progress of the song.

"One of the surprises, of course, but not too surprising is that we have a song featuring Ed Sheeran as a guest star," he said. It will be on the album.

He added that people have heard it and liked it'' and that the song is what do you imagine it's Cradle Of Filth and it's Ed Sheeran. It sounds like Ed Sheeran, it sounds like Cradle Of Filth.

There was a great explosion in it. I think it will surprise a lot of people, the album. But that doesn't mean the album is commercial. It's a very tough album. We've just stepped up the game as a band. We're going further towards the future of our previous album.

Filth added that his band'made the song with Ed more than a year ago,' which was 'about two and a half years' since the idea emerged.

"Maybe it will take three and a half years before someone actually hears the song," he added while pointing to the release date in early 2025. But that's how it is. Obviously, he is one of the greatest artists in the world, and we have to comply with the regulations because... He's a good guy don't misunderstand but the management, of course, put its interests in the heart."
