Yoshiki Will Make An Official Theme Song For The 50th Anniversary Of Hello Kitty

JAKARTA - The leader of the Japanese rock band X-Japan, Yoshiki, was chosen to compose the official 50-year edition theme song Hello Kitty.

This fictional character was created in 1974 which means the famous Sanrio cat will celebrate his gold birthday this year.

This isn't the first time Sanrio have worked with Yoshiki, before they have collaborated in the first 'yoshikitty,' Sanrio character to imitate real people.

The press release of the celebration and theme song stated that Yoshiki would cooperate with the famous music artist on the song. No specific names have yet been announced.

"Hello Kitty, congratulations on your 50th anniversary. It's a great honor for me to accept an offer to make an official global theme song for this incredible event. Hello Kitty is always cute and makes everyone smile," Yoshiki said in a statement via The Hollywood Reporter.

But that's not all. You also have inner strength. And when you make friends with other people, I feel as if I understand the many reasons why people around the world love you. I created a song that fits perfectly with Hello Kitty's beautiful quality," continued the musician.
