JAKARTA - The cause of Sinead O'Connor's death was revealed.

The Irish music legend died at the age of 56 in July. At that time, police confirmed that the Nothing Compares 2 U singer was found unconscious at his home in London and was pronounced dead at the scene.

There was no medical cause for Sinead's death at the time, and London's South Correspondence Court said examination of bodies would be carried out and the results may take several weeks.

Now, the corpse inspector confirmed that the singer who decided to convert to Islam in October 2018 died of natural causes and said it was no longer investigating her death, Sky News reported.

Sinead was buried at a ceremony in the city of Bray, Ireland, last August, where Bob Geldof and Bono were present to pay their respects.

It was also reported that a touching tribute was mounted on a cliff overlooking a coastal town designed by the creative agency The Tenth Man based in Dublin.

Discussing the inspiration behind the respect, the agency's creative director, Richard Seatur said that Sinead's death hit him like a ton of bricks and he found it important that Ireland should say goodbye to the singer.
