After The New Solo Project, Dodhy Kangen Plans A 20th Tour Of The City

JAKARTA - Success and being known as the guitarist for Kangen Band did not make Dodhy Hardiyanto alias Dodhy Kangen complacent. Slowly, he also tried to introduce himself as a soloist.

Releasing you In January is Dodhy Kangen's latest single as a solo singer under Arwana Swara, the music label he founded with his colleague, Yohanes.

To better introduce himself as a soloist, Dodhy is working with Bimo Maxim as a promoter to prepare for a tour around Indonesia. The plan, Dodhy will travel to 20 cities as a solo singer.

"The night before the new year he called and said he wanted to release you in January, after that he wanted to tour out of town," said Bimo Maxim during a press conference in Cinere, Depok, Tuesday, January 9.

Although he has not provided details about the cities to be visited, Bimo confirmed that Dodhy Kangen will start his tour from Yogyakarta on January 24.

"For the release tour in January, why do I believe, because Doddy has a big value (big value), big value for brands and for regional governments," said Bimo.

Dodhy ensured that solo projects and tour plans would not affect band activities. The reason is, Kangen Band is resting because Andika (vocals) is busy with her candidacy as a Legislative Candidate for the DPR RI for the 2024-2029 period.

Not wanting his solo project to be misinterpreted, Dodhy said Kangen Band would still exist and would be with its current personnel.

January '(Kangen Band) did not take a job, because Andika ran for the DPR RI. He is walking with a new hobby. But everything is fine, we will not disband, the formation remains that way,' said Dodhy Kangen.

"Change personnel several times not hockey, who are hockey with old personnel," he concluded.
