Supporting Pasha In Politics, Makki Ensures Purple Continues To Work

JAKARTA - Sigit Purnomo alias Pasha Ungu is known to have participated in practical politics. Currently, he is registered as a legislative candidate (caleg) to fight for the seats in the DPR for the period 2024-2029.

Responding to Pasha's candidacy, Makki (bass) expressed his full support. He said that being a politician is one of Pasha's talents, apart from music.

"Yes, Pasha is politics, God willing, he will enter the DPR. We all pray that he can," said Makki in Kemayoran, North Jakarta some time ago.

"How about it, he fits it, one of them is there, I think. He enjoys it and really understands it. And I feel like as a young politician, there are quite a lot of achievements. He is proven in the regions and party organizations, so maybe he can get the opportunity to prove himself in the DPR," he continued.

Although Pasha will later be elected as a member of the legislature, Makki ensures that Ungu will continue. Moreover, each personnel also has other activities outside the band.

Regarding what Ungu is currently working on, Makki informed that the band, which was formed in 1996, was working on the material that would be ready to be released.

"Now we are working on a new album. Our new album follows the current ecosystem paradigm, we release it online. Lastly we released it online in 2022. But the principle is more single to single. Every three months we release a single," said Makki.

"Maybe in the future we will use the paradigm for the release of our new materials. We are also trying to make soundtracks and there are several collaborations as well. But until the end of the year we are still focused on the stage, coincidentally there are many schedules too," he said.
