JAKARTA - In a new interview with Radioactive MikeZ, program host 96.7 KCAL-FM program "Wired In The Empire", Skid Row guitarist Scotti Hill was asked his opinion about Metallica's appearance at the Power Trip festival in Indio, California in early October.
"I love Metallica. I really enjoy watching them [on Power Trip]. I haven't watched them in 20 years, maybe more than 20 years, maybe. But the first time I watched it was in 1983," Scotti started.
"A friend called me and said, 'There is a band called Metallicaa from the Bay Area that performed tonight. They should be very good. Let's go.' And we went to this club, minors, and there were 25 people there. Nobody there. It was like an unknown band," he continued.
Scotti admitted that he did not understand Metallica's music at the time. He had never heard of the heavy music that James Hetfield et al played. "To be honest, I don't really like it," he added.

"But, yes, Power Trip - they are great at Power Trip," Scotti continued. "I like the set. The screen is good. Their interaction with the audience is amazing. They are our generation Led Zeppelin."
Asked to choose Metallica's song to play in "Wired In The Empire", Scotti said: "The first thing that always comes to my mind is, like, Sad But True. I love For Whom The Bell Tolls. Wow, a lot, but I'll say For Whom The Bell Tolls because maybe that's the song that started to make me excited for them."
