The Reason The Chasmala Appoints Pieter Anroputra As Vocalist

JAKARTA - The Chasmala is a new music group formed by brothers and sisters who have been poor in the Indonesian music industry, Irfan Chasmala and Denny Chasmala.

Irfan and Denny complete their group with Pieter Anroputra as vocalists.

Previously, Pieter had worked as a soloist. Last August, he released an EP titled Incurable Romantic: Like You Always Do.

However, the existence of Pieter Anroputra is not just a complement. Denchas, Denny Chasmala's nickname, said that the music from The Chasmala was made by adjusting Pieter's vocal character.

"We make music that makes Pieter comfortable. Basically, we make music that follows the singer's character," said Denny Chasmala in Cipete, South Jakarta, Monday, November 27.

The songs we made adjusted to Piter's character. So, when asked where the Chasmala wants to be taken, we want to bring Pieter," he continued.

Regarding Pieter Anroputra's vocal character, Denchas and Irfan agreed with the unique character owned by the vocalist. Both also saw Glenn Fredly's vocal color in Pieter's voice.

"If we remember the late Glenn, Pieter is there. If it's abroad like Peter Cetera," said Denchas.

"I see a unique character in Pieter's voice, there is a contemporary voice, and there is also the Glenn's voice," said Irfan.

Glenn Fredly is a figure close to the Chasmala duo. They collaborated several times.

For information, The Chasmala debuted by releasing a single titled Pria Idaman.

The song tells the story of a man who has been hurt by his partner many times but still always believes in him.
