JAKARTA - In a new interview withUS Music Stream, Skid Row guitarist Dave "Snake" Saba revealed about the follow-up to the album The Gang's All Here which was released last year.
The studio album marked the debut of Skid Row with Swedish vocalist Erik Gr\"owall, who joined the group in January 2022 as a replacement for ZP Theart.
"We've written some material, involving Erik too," Snake said.
"We've been on quite a lot of tours, so it took time... We weren't really good at writing on the streets during the tour; actually we were pretty bad at it," he continued.
"One thing we do is we make a riff soundcheck and we take advantage of those riffs. And when we have, when we say, 'OK. Let's start writing for the next recording,' we'll stop touring for a while and really start doing it and start getting into a room and closing the door and turning off the phone. "

"We're old school, guys. It's like, we recorded these riffs with a dictaphone. And then I remember we've built this studio in my house in New Jersey years ago, this big studio. And Rachel [Bolan, bassist Skid Row] and I'm going to be in the live room and we got an idea."
"And instead of playing tapes or something like that, we both took out our dictaphones instincts. And we looked at each other, like, 'What? We just spent a lot of money building this studio, and we're still [using] a dictaphone.' The iPhone is our dictaphone now. So it's really fun sitting there and being able to get into the room after you finish tours and things like that, then come back and listen to these riffs. "
