Ringo Starr expressed his emotional feelings in creating the upcoming "last" song The Beatles, Now And Then.

The legendary drummer teamed up with former bandmate Paul McCartney to compose the final song featuring the four Beatles members, with the help of AI (artificial intelligence) technology.

The song will be released globally at 14.00 GMT, Thursday, November 2.

John Lennon first wrote and recorded the Now And Then demo with only the piano and vocals at the end of the 70s.

In 1994, John's wife, Yoko Ono, gave the footage to McCartney, George Harrison, and Starr.

The surviving member with producer Jeff Lynne recorded the new parts and finished rough mixing for Now And Then, but tech limitations' made Lennon's vocals and piano inseparable to produce a fairly clear mixing.

However, McCartney and Starr were recently able to use the same technology to isolate and improve Lennon's vocals which were used to perfect audio in the famous documentary Peter Jackson, Get Back (2021), and then on the remix edition of 2022.

Starr is now recalling the process of completing a new Beatles single with McCartney.

"He called me and said he wanted to do Now And Then," he recalled (via Music News). 'What do you think?', he quoted Macca's words. '' I think it's cool.'

Starr continued: "So he turned on the bass, he sent me those files. I put on the drums. It was our closest time to accepting him [Lennon] back into this room, so it was very emotional for all of us."

The drummer continued by saying that John seemed to be there with them in the recording studio.
