JTE Music Indonesia, a music-making service company committed to developing and promoting local Indonesian musicians, has successfully bridged cross-border music collaboration. Partnering with the NextGenerationEU committee, South Korean music publishing company - JAM FACTORY and music publishing company operating in Asia - Song Asia Publishing, JTE Music Indonesia hosted the first International Song Camp in Indonesia.

Quoting Antara, the event, which is also supported by TOMORO COFFEE Indonesia and ChandraCom, took place in Jakarta on September 14 - 20, 2023.

International Song Camp became a gold platform for 23 selected songwriters from Indonesia (10 people), South Korea (8 people) and Europe (5 people).

This event provides them with the opportunity to meet each other, understand and appreciate various kinds of music, exchange knowledge and experience, and produce quality original works that are competitive for the Indonesian and foreign music industry.

We are very proud of the success of the first International Song Camp in Indonesia and for the songwriters who have become an important part of this milestone. I personally and on behalf of JTE Music Indonesia also want to express my sincere appreciation to all parties who have been involved in various ways in the success of this activity," said Tony Lee from JTE Music Indonesia in his statement on Monday.

Furthermore, the NextGeneration EU committee Hendrik said that it also sees that this partnership is in line with their mission to change and advance society because it is not only talking about the development of the music industry, but also about how music can be a tool to strengthen relations between nations.

Not only that, this collaboration helps Indonesian music composers celebrate cultural diversity, and inspires the younger generation to become a more solid generation.

All works created during the song camp also have the opportunity to reach the global stage through Listening Section which will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at the OPPO Indonesia Gallery, Gandaria City.

This session was also attended by the three largest record labels in the world, namely Sony Music, Warner Music, and Universal Music.

Tony Oh from JAM FACTORY is also enthusiastic to see professionals from Sony Music, Warner Music, and Universal Music present to listen to the fresh and different works that have been produced during Song Camp.

These professionals will provide valuable feedback and open up opportunities for each work to participate in the prestigious record label on Listening Section.

It is also hoped that this will motivate local talents to emerge.

This International Song Camp and Listening Section initiative is one clear proof of JTE Music Indonesia's commitment to bringing innovation and promoting the music industry in the country, as well as the spirit of cross-border cooperation that will encourage the growth of the music industry in Indonesia.

With the current development of the music industry, platforms from JTE Music Indonesia and its partners provide opportunities for Indonesian musicians and world musicians to learn further and inspire other young people to dare to achieve higher achievements, to the global stage.
