Calls Transgender A Hazardous Trend, Alice Cooper Terminated By Cosmetic Company Contract

JAKARTA - A cosmetic company terminated the contract with Alice Cooper after the rocker described the transgender as a trend.

Rock star shock, 75 years old, recently worked with the brand make-up Vampyre Cosmetics in a new collaboration, but has since been dropped after controversial comments were made in a recent interview.

As reported by Billboard, the makeup product announced on August 14 has now also been removed from its website.

Not long ago, Cooper spoke in an interview with Stereogum when he said he believed everything had now reached the point of absurdity.

The musician also said that he understood that there were transgender cases, but 'I'm worried it's just for fun, and I'm afraid there are a lot of people who claim to be transgender just because they want to be transgender.'

Now, Vampyre Cosmetics shared a statement saying they would no longer cooperate with Cooper.

"Given Alice Cooper's recent statement we will no longer be collaborating on makeup," the brand wrote in an Instagram post.

"We support all members of the LGBTQIA+ community and believe that everyone should have access to health services. All pre-order sales will be returned," their statement continued.

In a recent interview, Cooper was asked about his thoughts on comments made by his theaterial' rock counterparts about gender identities including Paul Stanley of KISS, who called child sex replacement operations a sad and dangerous trend'', and Twisted Sister's Dee Snider, who supported Stanley's comments.

Stanley then withdrew his statement, while Snider denied transphobic allegations.

At one point in a conversation, Cooper said about parenting that confirms gender: 'I feel wrong if you have a six-year-old child who doesn't know anything. He just wants to play, and you confuse him by saying to him, 'Yeah, you're a boy, but you can be a girl if you want'.'

Elsewhere, he said: 'Often times, I see it this way, logically: If you have this genital, you are male. If you have that genital, you are a woman. There is a difference between 'I am a man and a woman, or I am a woman and a man' and want to be a woman. You were born as a man. Okay, so that's the fact.'

The musician's comments contradicted Nick Cave's recent words about the transgender community, who said: I completely love my transgender fans and wish them all the best.
