JAKARTA - The 2023 Cherrypop Festival will be held for two days, 19 and 20 August at Asram Edupark, Yogyakarta.

With the big theme 'Swasembada Musik', this festival organized by the iKonser Channel invites all visitors to be more secure in the face of life.

"Conceptually, approximately Cherrypop this year is still the same as last year," said Ahmad Sobirin, Director of Festival Cherrypop 2023 in his statement.

As the main treats, Cherrypop 2023 will present three musical stages. The three of them present a variety of overlapping music flows, both in genre and age of the bands.

From those who are quite mature in the 90s, to those who have just 'burned' in recent years. Not as a reunion or memorabilia event, but the performers who have existed since the 90s have become a sign that there is another side to Indonesian music that needs to be learned as a knowledge.

During the two days the Cherrypop stage will be filled by several good bands chosen by the curator team.

"We try to show a band that rarely plays at other festivals, even hasn't performed for a long time," said Ahmad Sobirin. Some of the names that have been confirmed to appear on the Cherrypop Festival 2023 stage include; Seek Six Sick, DOM 65, Jenny, Magic Contest, Bangkutaman, Nonaria, Hospital, Monkey To Millionare, Southern Beach Terror, Krobar, Bronze, The Adams, The Jansen, Gabber Operandi Mode, Friday Gombrong, Agus Magelangan Electonan, Agatha Piricilla & Rayhan Noor, The Bunbury, Untitled Joy, The Blend-id, Jono Burns, and much more.

Arsita Pinandita, Creative Director of Cherrypop 2023 confirmed that the appearance of the 2023 Cherrypop Festival: 'Swasembada Musik' is like walking on the path of urban people full of fast gempat, but it is maintained so as not to slip on the outskirts of the mainstream.

This makes Cherrypop a independence event to provide a pause in the contradiction to our life's journey.
