JAKARTA - Slipknot fans share their wild theories about the identity of the band's newest masked metal band member.

The new member was revealed by Slipknot last week, following the sudden departure from keyboardist and sampler, Craig Jones.

The curiosity about the entry of new members for the Iowa metal band was disturbed last Thursday (June), when Slipknot posted a statement on social media saying Jones had separated from them.

Slipknot said nothing more about the situation, apart from wishing Jones the best. But, soon, they deleted the post.

Then, the members made a new social media update on the same day, sharing images of unidentified members with new masks. The post is not equipped with information, and quickly triggers conversations among fans.

Now, fans are speculating who the newest member is. Many have questioned whether the new member is actually still Jones, who only appears new and has never left Slipknot at all.

"I live in my imagination and say that this new member of Slipknot is still Craig with completely different masks and personalities," wrote one fan on Twitter.

While the others agreed, adding: "Craig may not really go but instead rebrand?... what really happened."

However, others are more suspicious about the identity of the keyboard player, and the general consensus seems to be that the member could be one of two options: Zac Total or Nathan Church.

The first is a popular keyboardist on the metal scene, who previously worked with Korn and Evanescence, and auditioned to join Nine Inch Nails.

Church on the other hand, most famous for his work with the American nu-metal band Downthesun, and has been seen hanging out with Slipknot's personalist Clown in the past.

As Loudwire reports, some Reddit fans quickly doubted the latter, as the keyboardist seems to be still focused on his Missouri tattoo shop, and therefore unlikely to tour with Slipknot.
