JAKARTA - The Blues Shelter Gugun launched its newest single titled GenerationULLy on February 3. A song that is very relevant to the current situation.

Gugun (vocals and guitars), Fajar (bass), and Bowie (drums) admitted, the theme of this song was deliberately taken from the issues that were rampant.

"For the lyric theme, we are indeed looking for issues that occur in the community, now cyber bullying is indeed rampant," Gugun told VOI.

Regarding the process of writing the song, Gugun said that this basic idea came from him. After that, the material was recorded via cell phone and then sent to his friends.

"The process was as usual, at first I was all the one who made music, harmony, lyrics, and also arrangements. It was recorded using a cellphone voice note, then it was listened to my friends while they were studying it. After it went smoothly with all the arrangements and sound we wanted. After that, we started recording correctly in the studio," Gugun explained.

The recording process at Velvelt Studio Jakarta also took a short time. In just two days, Gugun was able to finish it without further ado.

"The recording work lasted two days. So one day we rented the studio for six hours, and the same was the same on the next day we took vocals and several finishings were deemed necessary," he said.

Not only Generationbully, but Gugun also completed two previous singles, namely Jingga and Down andRY on the same day.

"For the release of three GBS singles, we have recorded it on the same schedule/day. So it has been stocked while waiting for when it will be released. The intention is indeed every two months."

In the end, the recordings are as desired. The song Generation Bully, which has been circulating on various streaming services, is deliberately aimed at getting results that are different from the two previous singles.

"Compared to the two previous singles, thebully Generation music is rockier and 'rude' by mixing-mastering results compared to Jingga and Down and Dirty," Gugun concluded.
