JAKARTA - Bandung-based band Mocca celebrated 20 years of music in a concerted together, enlivened by musicians who took part in the album "You And Me Against The World: A Tribute To Mocca".

Intimacy in a concert, that is what happens when hundreds of people stand up, sway and chant chanting verse after verse of the Mocca song that they have memorized by heart at "Mocca's 20th Anniversary Concert: You and Me in the World", Studio Palem, Jakarta, Friday 20 December night.

Arina Ephipania (vocals), Riko Prayitno (guitar), Achmad 'Toma' Pratama (bass), and Indra Massad (drums) opened the concert with three consecutive songs, "Friend", "Imaginary Girlfriend" and "I Love You Anyway "before chatting casually with hundreds of spectators in a friendly atmosphere, as if meeting old friends.

"Hopefully Mocca's songs can be evergreen, like the wishes of other musicians, so even though we are not there, the song will still be heard," said Arina.

All the songs were delivered with a pleasant nuance, even when the performer and the audience were so intimate, the mistakes on stage became a sweetener and a source of laughter. Twice the song had to be repeated, but the crowd just laughed and tolerated it.

"Who else could try this?" said a Mocca audience who laughed when Indra raised two drumsticks, asking his friends to pay attention to starting the song from the beginning.

The Mocca concert this time is even more special because there are many musicians performing Mocca's songs in their own style.

There is Coldiac, an indie pop band from Malang, who sang "On The Night Like This", Asteriska with "My Only One", Mocca Class which consists of band fans who are good at playing music, soloist Bilal Indrajaya with "The Object of My Affection" .

Mustache and Beard with "When It All Has Ended", Nonaria with "True Friends" who made the atmosphere more cheerful with witty chatter, Mardial with "Lucky Man" and Panturas singing "You And Me Against The World" with all the performers.

The album "You And Me Against The World: A Tribute To Mocca" is a vehicle for new interpretations of Mocca's songs by various musicians. The selected bands and musicians have distinctive characters, making Mocca's songs different and fresh.
