Komparasi Yamaha Nmax Turbo Dan Honda PCX 160, Mana Lebih Unggul?

JAKARTA - PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Mfg (YIMM) recently launched a premium Nmax Turbo lattice that is ready to challenge Honda PCX 160 in the bongsor lattice segment in the country.

Speaking of price, both of them are not far apart or only a difference of around Rp. 8 million. For Nmax Turbo Tech Max Ultimate or the highest variant is priced at Rp45,250,000.000 million and referring to Honda's official website, PCX 160 ABS variants touched Rp36,805,000 million.

So how is the comparison of the two models mentioned above?

Machine

Yamaha Nmax Turbo is equipped with a 155 cc Blue Core VVA engine that has been refined. Even so, the Nmax Turbo power figure is still the same as the previous generation of Nmax. Based on the specification data released by Yamaha, Nmax Turbo has 11.3 kW of power at 8,000 rpm with a maximum torque of 14.2 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The power is the same as the previous generation of Nmax, but the torsion is up 0.3 Nm.

Meanwhile, for Honda PCX 160 uses a 4-Katup engine, the eSP+ with a capacity of 156.9 cc. The Honda PCX 160 engine comes with a bore x stroke size of 60 x 55.5 mm and compression ratio of 12:1. The Honda PCX 160 engine is capable of generating up to 11.8 kW at 8,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 14.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm. This means that on paper power and torque the Honda PCX 160 engine is superior to Nmax Turbo.

Features

Speaking of features, the highest Yamaha Nmax Turbo variant is equipped with an Infotainment Display Screen that can control music playback, displaying weather information, trading mode, Y-shift, and navigation.

The Navigation System from the Garmin Street Cross is to facilitate travel. Y-Connect to monitor the condition of motorcycles and data driving via smartphones. Electric Power Outlet Type C to charge smartphones. Smart Key System for easy access without keys to stop & Start System for fuel efficiency.

Meanwhile, the Honda PCX 160 is equipped with the ABS feature, then there are smart keys, USB plugs, full digital instrument clusters but there is no navigation and is not connected to mobile phones.

Price

In terms of price, this latest Nmax comes in five variants ranging from Neo, to the highest of Turbo Tech Max ultimates. For the price, Nmax Neo Version is sold for IDR 32,700,000, then the most expensive variant is 'Turbo' Tech Max Ultimate of IDR 45,250,000.

On the other hand, for the price of Honda PCX 160 quoted from Astra Honda's official website, there are two options. Honda PCX 160 CBS is priced at IDR 33,300,000, the ABS variant is priced at IDR 36,805,000.

Conclusion

The price of the highest Nmax Turbo variant is indeed much more expensive, but it is equipped with various interesting features. Meanwhile, in terms of engines, Honda PCX 160 outperforms the latest generation Yamaha Nmax.
