BMW Motorrad Hits Indonesian Market With Premium Electric Motor Launch At IIMS 2024

JAKARTA - Through PT Layur Astiti Bumi Kencana, BMW Motorrad officially launched an electric motorbike at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2024, namely CE 04, which will fill the premium two-wheeled vehicle segment.

"The premium CE 04 electric motorbike is the best choice for motorcycle enthusiasts in Indonesia who want to look classy riding a highly environmentally friendly high-tech motorcycle," said Davy Tuilan, BMW Motorrad Indonesia's Chief Operating Officer, in his remarks at IIMS 2024, Thursday, February 15.

BMW CE 04 offers high quality for its riders, ranging from futuristic designs with LED headlights equipped with DRL lighting and Adaptive Cornering Light that illuminates the road at each corner.

In addition, there are also several safety features such as Automatic Stability Control, Dynamic Track Control, ABS Pro, and Electronic Reverser. The driving position is equipped with a 10.25-inch TFT screen with a split screen that is integrated with a navigation map.

In order to fulfill the desire to drive by its customers, the manufacturer presents this electric motorbike with four driving modes, starting from Eco, Rain, Road, and Dynamic.

Talking about performance, this motorbike is equipped with a 42-dk electric motor with a 62 Nm torque. Thus, CE 04 is capable of accelerating from 0 to 50 km/hour within 2.6 seconds and reaches a peak speed of 120 km/hour.

The battery has a very impressive performance by being able to cover a distance of up to 130 km fully charged. This motorbike is also equipped with a quick charging capability that can charge the battery from empty to full within 1 hour 40 minutes.

For the price, BMW sets the price of CE 04 to IDR 418.4 million on The Road DKI Jakarta.
