JAKARTA - The 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) is not only a demonstration event for four-wheeled vehicle manufacturers, it is also proof for two-wheeled vehicle brands to attract the attention of visitors.
PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM), as the provider of Honda motorcycles in Indonesia, managed to make very good use of the event by posting positive sales figures.
During the 10-20 exhibition last August, AHM recorded sales of 1,251 units. The sale is dominated by a large capacity skutik model, PCX160.
The Honda PCX160 is one of AHM's mainstay models for the large capacity scutik segment. Equipped with a 160 cc 4 engine with an ESP+ valve, this motor has minimal performance with technology friction.
General Manager Sales AGM, Ignatius Didi Kwok, said that PCX160 is one of the products desired by consumers, because the model has the convenience of driving.

We will continue our commitment to present the best products according to the needs and lifestyles of various consumers equipped with the support of the best full-sale service spread throughout Indonesia," said Didi Kwok, in his statement, Monday, August 21.
AHM noted that the scooter sold during the GIIAS 2023 event reached 1,129 units. In addition to PCX160, Honda Scoopy contributed to sales of 252 units followed by HondaBEAT with a total of 217 units.
Not only conventional motorcycles, Honda EM1 e electric-powered vehicles: also received a good response by GIIAS 2023 visitors by recording 25 consumers expressing their interest in environmentally friendly mobility.
Honda's big bike also received the spotlight from visitors who managed to record 22 sales. Of these, 14 of them are XL750 Transalp models which were just launched in the middle of this year.
