JAKARTA - Chery introduced the Fulwin A9 Wagon at the 2026 Beijing Motor Show. This is an interpretation of the shooting-brake from the A9 electric sedan as part of the expansion step into various electric vehicle body styles.

The Fulwin A9 Wagon model is built using Chery's 800V electric platform which is also used on the sedan version. The design features a longer rear to increase the luggage capacity without sacrificing the main proportions of the sedan.

This car has a wheelbase of 2,900 mm, with an overall length estimated at around 4.95 meters. Until now, no official price tag has been announced.

However, in the Chinese market, this model is estimated to be in the range of 180,000 to 250,000 yuan, adjusting to its position in the class vehicle segment. As reported by Carnewschina, Monday, April 27.

Currently, the vehicle is still in the concept status. Chery said the decision to enter the production stage will be determined based on market response, with the possibility of realization around 2027 if it gets the green light.

The presence of this model also marks Chery's first step in the electric wagon segment, which has previously been filled by a number of models such as the Nio ET5 Touring and Zeekr 7 GT. In terms of performance, the Fulwin A9 Wagon is projected to carry the same dual-motor all-wheel drive system as the A9 sedan.

Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is estimated to be in the range of 5 seconds, referring to the sedan's 4.9-second record. Meanwhile, the CLTC standard mileage is claimed to reach 700 km.

The battery system uses a technology called "Rhino E battery" with an energy density of 195 Wh/kg. This battery is designed to remain optimal in extreme temperatures, ranging from -40°C to 60°C, with the ability to maintain a minimum capacity of 90 percent at -30°C.

The 800V architecture also supports fast charging. Under ideal conditions, charging from 30 percent to 80 percent is claimed to take only about 15 minutes.

In the foot-foot sector, this car has the potential to be equipped with air suspension and Continuous Damping Control (CDC) system, which allows vehicle height adjustment and damping characteristics according to driving mode.

Entering the cabin, the Fulwin A9 Wagon is equipped with Chery's Lingxi smart cockpit system powered by a 3nm automotive chip. This system supports multi-screen integration and voice-based control to improve the user experience.

Not only that, the LiDAR sensor installed on the roof is also part of the system, enabling the presence of advanced driving assistance features, including automatic navigation for toll roads and urban areas.

As an expansion of the Fulwin A9 sedan that previously appeared at the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show, this wagon version brings a more functional design approach with a wider cargo space, but still retains the platform base and the main character of the previous model.
