The Two Most Advanced Cars MG Officially Debuted In Goodwood, These Are IM5 And IM6

JAKARTA MG Motor officially introduced two of its newest models, the IM5 executive sedan and the IM6 SUV, in the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed event in England. Both of these cars are predicted to be the most innovative line ever offered by MG.

The name "IM" itself is not just an abbreviation of Intelligence in Motion, MG's new philosophy of unifying advanced technology and futuristic design to provide customers with a high-end driving experience.

Both models are designed with high-tech cabins and premium nuances. It embeds smart features such as Rainy Night Mode for optimal visibility during rain and One Touch Park Assist with four modes, which rely on 360-degree cameras and autonomous systems for automatic parking in narrow spaces.

MG also provides IM5 and IM6 with stunning 26.3-inch ultra-HD infotainment screens, combined with 10.5-inch touchscreens for intuitive operation. Not to forget, elegant panorama roofs and luxury audio systems with 20 speakers also add to the luxurious impression in the cabin.

On the performance side, the MG IM5 carries innovative two-way rear-wheel steering technology, making the turnaround radius only 9.98 meters ideal for maneuvers in dense urban areas.

For energy matters, the IM5 is supported by a 100 kWh battery with the latest 800V architecture. The Long Range variant is able to cover a distance of up to 655 km, and the acceleration of 0100 km/hour is only in 3.2 seconds. While the IM6 is no less impressive with a record of 3.5 seconds for the same acceleration.

Regarding the price, the IM5 is priced starting from 39,450 pounds or around Rp864 million, while the IM6 reaches 47,995 pounds or Rp1 billion.
