BYD Atto 2 Lands In French Market, Prices Are Not Up To IDR 500 Million

JAKARTA - BYD expanded its electric vehicle market in French countries by introducing Atto 2 which will play in the entry-level segment.

Launching from CarNewsChina, Thursday, February 27, this model was launched at prices ranging from 28,990 euros, equivalent to Rp498.7 million. The small crossover is expected to compete with models such as Citroen e-C3 or Vauxhall Frontera.

This car is positioned on a Dolphin hatchback with a wider dimension but still carries a compact design. In dimensions, this one car has a length of 4,310 mm, a width of 1,830 mm, a height of 1,675 mm with a wheelbase of 2,620 mm.

This well-known Chinese manufacturer confirmed that Atto 2 will use a 45.1 kWh battery which can produce a distance of up to 194 miles or the equivalent of 312 km in one full charge.

The battery installed into the car uses a cell-to-body construction that can increase stiffness in the chassis section. Meanwhile, BYD Atto 2 is available with a single electric motor configuration located at the front measuring 174 hp and 290 Nm torque.

The battery can be compatible with 65 kW of DC charging. BYD Atto 2 is offered with two trims in the French market, namely Active and Boost.

Although it has a compact size, it offers a five-seater configuration with a large trunk of up to 400 liters. Then, the manufacturer gives it a 15.6-inch touchscreen, which can be rotated for views in portrait and landscape orientations.

Trim Boost offers electric foldable rearview mirrors, steering steering steering wheel, and ambient light, 12.8-inch display, eight speakers, and much more.
