BJ80 BAIC Price Estimation If Launched In Indonesia, Above IDR 1 Billion

JAKARTA - PT JIO Distribution Indonesia officially introduced the BJ80 model which is a Brand Shaper from the BAIC Off Road Vehicle (ORV) class.

Unfortunately, until now it is not clear when BJ80 will be present to enliven the automotive market in Indonesia, because until now there is no right steering wheel.

"Indeed, until now we are still doing market research, and introducing it first. BJ80 also has no right steering wheel," said COO of PT Jio Indonesia Distribution Dhani Yahya, when met in the BSD area, Monday, October 28.

Furthermore, several right-handed countries such as Malaysia, Thailand and Australia have not yet conducted market research, but if all goes well, the hope is not too long.

"Usually if there is a facelift (BJ80) it could be prepared for the right steering wheel, that is our hope because every time there is a new model, of course there is a right steering wheel, such as a hybrid BJ30 which is currently starting production (right steering wheel)," he added.

So what is the estimated price of this model if it is present in Indonesia?

"If the price is around Rp. 1.3 billion, the bodykit version may be more expensive up to Rp. 1.5 billion. But for the right steering wheel, there may be a little adjustment," he added.

As previously reported, BJ80 packs a V6 3,000 cc twin turbo engine, 241 dk of power with a 420 Nm torque. The machine is combined with an automatic transmission of 8 accelerations distributed to four wheels. j
