Tenxi Failed to Perform at SoundCircus 2026, Organizer Says There Was an Internal Conflict in Management

JAKARTA - The first day of the SoundCircus (SCF) 2026 music festival, which took place in Selangor, Malaysia, on Saturday, August 1, was colored by the disappointment of the audience. The reason is that one of the anticipated performers, Tenxi, suddenly canceled his appearance according to the schedule that had been determined.

In response to the unpleasant situation, the organizers of SoundCircus, Art of Speed (AOS), finally released an official statement to clarify the cause of the failure of the 26-year-old musician's stage performance.

The organizers expressed their deep regret for the incident. They admitted that they had tried their best to make Tenxi able to greet his fans in Malaysia.

"The SoundCircus - AOS team would like to express our deepest regret that although we have tried our best to overcome all the problems that have arisen regarding TENXI's performance plan, our options quickly ran out yesterday," the organizers wrote, quoting a statement on the SoundCircus Instagram account, Tuesday, August 4.

The organizer revealed that this cancellation started from technical problems and internal conflicts experienced by the artist's management. Tenxi was known to have missed the flight that had been prepared.

In fact, preparations at the event location were actually mature. The technical team from Tenxi itself is reported to have arrived in Malaysia and completed the sound check on the main stage of the festival.

"Unfortunately, the artist missed the flight that had been booked in advance, and a dispute within their internal team caused a situation beyond our control. Their technical crew was actually already in Malaysia and had done a sound check on the main stage of SCF," continued the statement from the organizers.

In order to save the performance, SoundCircus had to communicate with the Tenxi team to reschedule the flight. The committee was even willing to bear all the costs of the new plane ticket in order to satisfy the thirst of music lovers who had already arrived. Unfortunately, this effort did not bear fruit until the deadline ended.

"The TENXI team communicated with AOS for the purchase of new plane tickets according to the new time schedule they wanted, where we agreed to bear the cost so that fans could enjoy his performance, but there was no confirmation until there was no more time left," said SoundCircus.

The organizers also apologized to all visitors who felt disadvantaged by Tenxi's absence on the SoundCircus 2026 stage.

"We have taken all possible measures to ensure a smooth festival experience for all audiences, and we regret this unpleasant situation that affects everyone at AOS-SoundCircus, ESPECIALLY YOU ALL. For this we are truly sorry and hope that everyone involved can enjoy Day 2 at AOS as it should be," concluded the organizers.

Tenxi is not the only Indonesian musician to be included in the SoundCircus 2026 lineup. The music festival in Malaysia also presents Nadin Amizah, The Jansen, Sukses Lancar Rejeki, The Sigit, and Sukatani.
