Subaru Crosstrek Mild Hybrid Enters Thailand Next Year, Take A Peek At The Specifications

JAKARTA - One of the hybrid midfields from Subaru, namely the Crosstrack e-Boxer, will enter the Thai market next year. Obviously this compact crossover will have a higher price than the pure ICE version.

Launching from Headlight Magazine, Tuesday, September 9, the third-generation car is likely to sell for 1.8 million baht (IDR 822 million) or higher than the second-generation version which is set at 1.055 million baht (IDR 481.8 million).

Built on an updated Subaru Global Platform (SGP), Crosstrek features a more expressive design than any other model by highlighting a small trapium headlights flanking a large hexagonal grip with a thick C-shaped black plastic front corner.

Then, the car features a sepabor bulge that shows a dashing impression on this car and a distinctive C rear light.

Moving to the interior, Crosstrek has an 11.6-inch portrait infotainment display that replaces the head of the unit and an additional mid-screen. Then, the car is given an EyeSight driver assistance system with a monocular camera to detect pedestrians and cyclists.

It is estimated that the specifications are the same as those offered in Japan, namely powered by a flat 4-cylinder gas engine FB20 of 2.0 liters naturally-assired which provides a maximum torque of 145 ps and a torque of 188 Nm. The runway is paired with a 48V mid-hybrid system consisting of an MA1 electric drive with a magnitude of 13.6 ps and a 65 Nm torque with a 0.57 kWh battery that can emit a total power of up to 150 ps and 196 Nm torque.

The performance is combined with a symmetric all-wheel drive system with a Lineartronic CVT transmission that provides fuel consumption of 15.8 km/l according to the WLTP.

The e-Boxer crosstrack will be the first of the five cars launched in Thailand in 2025, in addition to the Forestr e-Boxer, the latest versions of Outback, WRX, and BRZ.

In Indonesia, Subaru sells the 2.0i-S EyeSight version of Crosstrack which is priced at IDR 549.5 million On The Road DKI Jakarta. It will be interesting if the manufacturer with the'six star' logo provides this version of the hybrid millid for the Indonesian market.
