JAKARTA - Genesis has launched a refresher version on the Electrified G80 at the end of last June through the 2024 Busan International Mobility Show by not giving many leaks about the specifications. This also marks the first increase in the luxury sedan after it was first introduced in 2021.

Now, the premium brand inaugurates sales of the sedan in the South Korean market by offering elongated bodies, newer designs, and advanced technology.

Launching from the official Genesis website, Friday, September 6, this car has a wheelbase of up to 3,140 mm or an increase of 130 mm compared to the previous version. In addition, this sedan features its luxury element by providing 19-inch rims that improve aerodynamic performance.

Carrying the design philosophy of Athletic Elegency, the front fasia of the Electrified G80 features Genesis's signature G-Matrix goal with a new gradient pattern along with air-intake and a two-line light Micro Lens Array (MLA).

Just like before, the charging port is placed in the upper right corner of the bumper with a cover that can be opened and closed with only one touch.

The inner cover and improved lighting emit a more sophisticated feel, while there is heating function inside the port ensuring charging can operate under any weather conditions.

The back has been refined to feature a finer bumper design with the latest chromo accents thus showing a slimmer image.

Moving to the interior, this luxury sedan has a 27-inch OLED display combining the cluster system with infotainment that allows drivers to divide the screen into two or three parts.

Thus, this makes it easier for drivers or car users to access navigation maps as well as online streaming services simultaneously in one view.

Other premium features such as Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Shift by Wire (SBW), and Central Control Panel (CCP) are presented to increase passenger comfort in vehicles.

Electrified G80 is the first EV of Genesis to offer Chauffeur Mode, allowing it to accelerate smoothly and comfort rear seat passengers through optimizing torque and suspension tuning.

In addition, rear passengers can easily adjust their seating at least 14-ways differently and a maximum landing angle of 40 degrees.

This electric sedan is also increased in terms of distance. With a battery with a capacity of 94.5 kWh in the fourth generation, the latest Electrified G80 is able to explore up to 475 km in one charge.

To provide a different experience, Genesis also presented the Electric Vehicle Active Sound Design (e-ASD) feature by adding two unique imitation voices when the car was advanced.

A refresher version of the Genesis Electrified G80 is sold for 89.19 million won or equivalent to Rp1.31 billion in South Korea. This price does not include incentives.

Apart from Korea, Genesis will present the Electrified G80 for the European and North American markets expected early next year.
