BYD Xia Officially Launches: Luxury Design And Sophisticated Features Become Mainstay

JAKARTA - The giant automotive manufacturer from China, BYD, officially launched its newest MPV, BYD Xia, which is equipped with a 5th generation Plug-in Hybrid DM system. This vehicle was introduced to the prestigious Chengdu Motor Show 2024 event and immediately attracted attention with its large dimensions and advanced features.

According to a Paultan report, Wednesday, September 4, BYD Xia comes with impressive dimensions: 5.145 mm long, 1,970 mm wide, 1,805 mm high, and 3,045 mm wheelbase. With a 2-2-3 seating configuration, this minivan offers maximum comfort for seven passengers.

BYD Xia's exterior design reflects a strong character with a large grip in the form of a distinctive trapium, following the iconic design language of BYD Dragon Face which is equipped with chrome elements and elongated headlights. Although details of its interior have not been fully revealed, the circulating photos show modern central consoles and are in good agreement with other BYD models, such as a large screen and a 'D' shaped steering wheel.

BYD Xia, which is included in the Dynasty series, is also equipped with a variety of superior features, including the advanced ADAS safety system and the DiLink 150 state-of-the-art cockpit. This minivan is equipped with an adjustable DiSus-C electromagnetic suspension, similar to the one on the BYD Tang and Han models, thus offering optimal driving comfort.

The complete details of the specifications are still kept secret, but it is estimated that BYD Xia will use a 1.5 liter turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 154 hp combined with an electric motorcycle of 268 hp. Rumors also state that this minivan will be available with 4WD drive options.

More interestingly, BYD Xia is claimed to have a full range of up to 200 km of electricity thanks to the use of Blade Battery from BYD. With prices ranging from 300,000 yuan or around Rp653 million, BYD Xia will soon enter the Chinese market this year, with the possibility of exporting to the international market.
