JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk held the Kick-Off BRIncubator 2026 as a marker for the start of a series of incubation programs for UMKM binaan Rumah BUMN BRI this year.

Since its launch in 2018, BRIncubator has been part of BRI's ongoing efforts to strengthen the empowerment of MSMEs through structured empowerment, so that business actors are increasingly ready to increase competitiveness and expand market opportunities to the global level.

Through BRIncubator, BRI presents a nurturing ecosystem for UMKM binaan Rumah BUMN BRI which has gone through the curation process. This program is designed to accompany business actors according to the stages of business development, so that each participant receives relevant coaching before entering the acceleration phase.

Director of Micro BRI Akhmad Purwakajaya revealed that BRIncubator is part of BRI's strategy in strengthening the capacity and competitiveness of MSMEs so that they can develop and take advantage of opportunities in an increasingly competitive market.

"To answer the various challenges faced by MSMEs, it is necessary to strengthen capacity and capabilities through continuous training. This strengthening includes the development of an entrepreneurial mindset, business strategies, financial literacy, business digitization, to providing information on export opportunities. Thus, MSMEs are expected to be able to increase competitiveness, expand market access, upgrade and make a greater contribution to Indonesia's sustainable economic growth," said Akhmad.

BRIncubator is a program for UMKM binaan Rumah BUMN BRI which is designed to increase business capacity through the curation process, intensive mentoring, and business development. This program focuses on three main categories, namely Food & Beverage, Fashion & Beauty, and Home Decor & Craft, with the aim of encouraging UMKM to upgrade and prepare their business to enter the export market.
