Mercedes-Benz GLS Will Get Facelift Again, Here's The Estimated Change

JAKARTA - Mercedes-Benz is working on developing its flagship model. Apart from S-Class, this premium brand also plans to present the latest GLS model.

Just like the S-Class, the current generation GLS SUV will get longer years. This means that the car will be back in the facelift version for the second time after 2023 in order to provide a fresh appearance for consumers.

Launching from Carscoops, Wednesday, September 4, the full-size SUV is seen being tested with a camouflage sticker focused on the front and back. The possibility of changes presented is relatively small.

It is estimated that the latest GLS will have a revised and flanked goal with a forward light that has a design that extends back.

Then, the backlight features the latest stellar graphics as found in the latest E-Class sedan. While not experiencing any significant changes, the back gets a revised on the exhaust and an updated bumper.

Unfortunately, the car does not show a clear part of the cabin. However, it is estimated that the interior has a number of new elements starting from changes to control and center consoles.

Further specifications have yet to be disclosed. However, it is likely that GLS will retain the current engine with 3.0 liters of 6-cylinder sekaris twin-turbo which produces 375 dk of power and 500 Nm of torque.

It is estimated that Mercedes-Benz will also maintain a high-performance powertrain with a V8 4.0 liter twin-turbo engine with an output of 510 dk, 550 dk, and 603 dk.

In addition, it remains unclear whether the manufacturer will keep the diesel engine in this SUV. For information, the GLS is offered with diesel with a 6-cylinder engine of 3.0 liters a day turbo combined with a millid-hybrid 48V measuring 281 dk and 325 dk.

Currently, PT Inchcape Indomobil Distribution Indonesia sells GLS in the country at a price of IDR 2.750 billion which competes with BMW X7 worth IDR 2.774 billion.
