JLR Prepares The Latest Range Rover Velar, Turns Into Pure EV?

JAKARTA - In recent times, Land Rover has been working on developing its first electric car Range Rover Electric which is claimed to have characteristics like its combustion engine (ICE) version.

However, other models such as the Range Rover Velar seem to have a similar approach and the British brand is actually planning to bring the update to the SUV to be more sporty.

Reported by Carscoops, Tuesday, September 3, Range Rover Velar is seen being tested on the road with a camouflage sticker disguised but the design looks more aggressive than its predecessor.

This car looks like it has a sharper forward light in the back. Another interesting thing about this car is that the front fascia does not have an intake. The sporty style continues back with a slimmer bodywork than before.

Another change that looks like the back is because the number plate hole was moved from the trunk door to the bumper. Your body looks also newer than before, although there is a possibility this component will get a revision.

Then, the rim looks to have a large size and a beam-like accent that is more resilient than ever showing there was a revolutionary design on Velar.

Information about the presence of this model is still very limited, but JLR has announced that its Halewood factory, England will be the production base for all-electric vehicles for next-generation medium-sized SUVs.

It is stated that the plant will develop cars with the Electrified Modular Architecture (EMA) platform specifically for pure and launched electric vehicles (EVs) in 2025.

Now, Range Rover Velar is available on the global market by providing various variants of powertrain ranging from gasoline, diesel, to plug-in hybrid (PHEV).

In Indonesia, PT JLM Auto Indonesia sold Range Rover Velar in the SE and S variants at IDR 2.816 billion and IDR 2.930 billion, respectively.
