Toyota Presents 40 BZ4X Units For The Mobility Of The 79th Indonesian Independence Day Commemoration At IKN

PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) presents 40 units of Toyota bZ4X to support the mobility of the VVIP series which will attend the commemoration of the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan.

The contribution made by TAM is the implementation of three sustainable programs, namely presenting a mobility solution without air pollution at IKN, supporting Net Zero Emission 2060 of the Indonesian Government, and running the Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050.

Vice President Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), Henry Tanoto, said TAM was honored because it had been trusted to present 40 units of Toyota bZ4X, as vehicles for the VVIP series that were free of emissions at the implementation of this important ceremony.

"This participation is expected to support the Indonesian Government's desire to realize air pollution-free mobility, as well as encourage a sustainable transformation in the use of electric cars as future mobility solutions in Indonesia," he said, in a written statement quoted on Saturday, August 17.

It is undeniable that Toyota always takes part in several important events by presenting environmentally friendly cars, such as the official vehicle of the G20 Summit participants in Bali on November 15-16, 2022.

In addition, the bZ4X model was used at the 43rd ASEAN Summit which took place twice. Series 1 in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) on 9 11 May 2023, and Series 2 in Jakarta on 5 7 September 2023.

Then, the Battery EV also supports the mobility of delegates from various participating countries at the Archipelagic and Island States (AIS) Forum Summit in the Nusa Dua Bali Area, 10-11 October 2023.

Finally, between May 18-20, 2024, a total of 130 units of Toyota bZ4X were used by ministers and delegates from the 2024 World Water Forum (WWF) participating countries in Bali.

Returning to the event at IKN, Toyota ensures the mobility of Toyota bZ4X can run smoothly without any problems, and prepares a team of global Toyota certified technicians trained in Toyota's Battery EV maintenance. Meanwhile, the need for battery charging has been provided by PLN through the largest 200 kW Ultra Fast Charger (UFC) facility at several points at IKN.

"Toyota bZ4X selection is also part of Toyota's strategy and reflection of experience to provide a mobility experience without air pollution at IKN.
