Unique And Fun Experience Of Driving Wuling Cloud EV Jakarta-Bogor-Jakarta Route

JAKARTA - The Drive Wuling Cloud EV series titled "Driving The Future of Comfort" continues with the Jakarta-Bogor-Jakarta route, covering a distance of about 135 km. On this occasion, the VOI team felt the sensation of driving directly, starting from crossing urban areas, trying fast charging (DC Charging), to going uphill.

Design

Before discussing driving performance, let's review the design of this newly launched car. Wuling Cloud EV is designed with attention to details for each trip, inspired by 'Awan' reflecting softness. This car is aimed at families and individuals who prioritize comfort and calm. The elegant design features a different exterior in class.

Entering the cabin, premium nuances are immediately felt. This car is equipped with quality fine skin, as well as a large dashboard. Carrying the concept of 'Home Life Space', the Wuling Cloud EV offers maximum comfort with an Italian-style seat design Bubble Sofa which can be arranged electrically in six directions at the back, ensuring passengers can rest comfortably.

The journey starts from Aroem Resto, West Jakarta. The VOI team had the opportunity to become a driver to feel how this car crushed congestion in the city, and headed to the DC Charging location at Sudirman Park, SCBD. Despite the traffic jams, the Cloud EV remains agile, with an auto hold feature that is very helpful when trapped in traffic.

The route then continued to the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), where we visited the Chinese Museum. When crossing the toll road, the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Cloud EV feature functions optimally, maintains a safe distance with the vehicle at the front and provides a sense of security during the trip. TMII is also proven to be friendly to electric cars, because only electric cars are allowed directly to enter this tourist area.

Comfort In The Back Seat

Next, the trip to Richie Garden Resto in Bogor for a coffee break. This time, the VOI team became passengers. A spacious cabin and comfortable chairs like a sofa make the trip more enjoyable. Even though you have to go uphill and in waves, the suspension that feels hard can still be tolerated thanks to the convenience of your seat.

Complete Feature

The Cloud EV is equipped with various features that can be arranged through the central screen, ranging from lighting settings, Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS), to driving mode. One of the interesting features is the Wuling Indonesian Command (WIND), a voice command feature that allows users to manage various cabin functions by simply saying "Hello Wuling".

In addition, there are various driving modes such as Eco+, Eco, Normal, and Sport that can be adjusted to their needs. The EV cloud is also equipped with Auto Vehicle Holding and Hill Hold Control features, which are very useful when going uphill. All settings can be done through the screen.

Unlike Air ev and BinguoEV, the Cloud EV uses a transmission lever system located behind the steering wheel left. To walk, just press down to position D, center for N (neutral), and up for R (resign). For those who are using electric cars for the first time, it takes time to get used to this system.

Battery Consumption

When driving for the first time, the Cloud EV battery was 98 percent charged. After traveling about 134 km, the remaining battery is still above 50 percent, which means it is still enough to continue the journey.

The conclusion of the Wind Cloud EV offers a fairly satisfying driving experience, with stable handling, wide and comfortable cabins. However, the suspension that feels loud and lack of physical buttons, as well as transmission levers that require control, is something to pay attention to.
