Not Just Hot Scenes, Luna Maya Explores Emotional Sides To Play With Fire

JAKARTA - Luna Maya and Darius Sinathrya are reunited in the latest series, Playing Api. This psychological thriller series will tell the forbidden relationship between two people who are married.

Luna Maya plays Nadine, a wife of a reliable entrepreneur and designer who is unhappy at her wedding. Then, he meets Alex, played by Darius and starts their relationship.

"Nadine has had trauma in the past that has no father figure. She is an unhappy person and always looks for happiness from others. You could say possessive, aggressive, and mood swing," said Luna Maya.

Since the beginning of receiving this role offer, Luna Maya has found it difficult to play Nadine's character. Not only is her story a psychological drama but she is also required to show various emotions.

From the beginning, Hitmaker's concept was Basic Instict, Fatal Attraction. "The forbidden relationship is honest, it's something new that I've never personally been and made me challenging," he explained.

"Out of my imagination, Nadine just has that attitude, and a lot of anger and injury, her logic and awareness as an individual have been released. Regardless of the heat season, I don't see that as Wow! but see where the character goes," he said.

He views Nadine's character as a poor character and will gain sympathy from the audience. Apart from herself, Nadine's relationship with the people around her is very sad.

"Not selling hot in a steamy intimate but the story is hot. Erwin and I have a hot emotional relationship but can't do anything because their husband and wife also have a situation and they have hot problems but in terms of a hot relationship," said Luna Maya.

The Main Api series tells the story of Alex Bastian (Darius Sinathrya), an architect who likes to have relationships with other women in various cities. One day, Alex is in a relationship with Nadine (Luna Maya) who brought him into a new conflict.

The Main Api series will be released on WeTV Indonesia starting November 29.
