TANGERANG - Mini is back at the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) by introducing the latest generation of Cooper. Not only a different style, BMW Indonesia introduced it as EV in the SE variant.
Vice President of Mini Region Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa Florian Kuenstner, said the model retains the characteristics of the brand, namely the fun of driving even though it has been changed to full electrification.

He also assessed that Indonesia is a potential market for Mini by touching sales figures of up to 430 units during the first half of this year as well as being the highest milestone for this brand in the country.
"Our sales achievement here shows the enthusiasm and love of Indonesian customers for MINI's iconic vehicles," added Kuenstner.

The latest Cooper maintains its distinctive design, but futuristic elements are seen in the DRL lights along with circular LEDs and back lighting of the matrix, both with three different lighting patterns to choose from.
The British brand also provides a simpler look on the interior with a circular screen measuring 9.4 inches in the middle of a dashboard that has become a hallmark of a manufacturer that functions as an infotainment and instrument.
The midscreen on the dashboard has been operated with Mini Operating System 9, which was developed by the BMW Group and is based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) software.
In terms of performance, the SE variant has an electric motor measuring 218 ps and a torque of 330 Nm which can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in 6.7 seconds with the highest speed of 170 km/hour. This hatchback can run up to a range of 402 km according to the WLTP.
Mini Cooper SE can charge with a DC fast-charging 95 kW so that it can be filled from 10 to 80 percent within 30 minutes.
