The New Kia Seltos Will Launch At GIIAS 2024, Here's The Change

JAKARTA - PT Credium Indo Artha (KIA), as the agent holding the Kia brand in Indonesia, also took part in the GIIAS 2024 event, including presenting The New Kia Seltos which is a refresher version of its High Performance Compact SUV which first launched in 2020.

Kia claims, during the four-year period, Seltos managed to become a pioneer in the compact SUV segment which comes with a variety of complete comfort features and the use of high-performance turbo machines. Now, The New Kia Seltos is available in 2 choices of machine variants, Kia Seltos Premiere 1,5 Turbo and Kia Seltos Premiere 1, which can be ordered at GIIAS 2024.

"Since it first arrived in Indonesia in 2020, Kia Seltos has become a pioneer compact SUV equipped with an abundant driving feature and adopts a turbo engine as the heart of its runway. Of course, we will keep it in its spread version, which is now present with the choice of 1,500cc and 1,500cc turbo machines and is equipped with an ADAS active safety feature and a variety of modern comfort support features," said Marketing & Development Division Head of PT Karantya Indo Artha (KIA) Ario Soerjo, in his official statement, Tuesday, July 16.

So what changes from this one model? From the exterior side, The New Kia Seltos comes with a fresher and more stylish look with a touch of New Tiger Nose Grille and a headlamp LED Star Map Lighting. Equipped with 17 inch wheels with a new design and a 215/60 tire profile makes The New Kia Seltos look even more dashing and sporty.

Entering the cabin, Kia embeds the Panoramic Sunroof which adds a wide impression of the cabin when the curtain opens. The presence of this new feature also presents a luxurious feel and of course makes the journey more enjoyable and of course makes the cabin look more spacious.

In addition, a change can also be seen in the use of Panoramic Wide Display consisting of a full digital instrument screen measuring 10.25 inch with an infotainment screen that is also 10.25 inch. There is also a Head Up Display that can provide additional information for drivers while driving.

Various comfort support features were also presented at The New Kia Seltos. Covering, 8-Way Adjustable Power Driver Seat provides convenience for drivers to adjust seating positions and is more comfortable with Front Ventilated Seat. Then, the existence of the Dual Zone Auto Climate Control allows drivers and front passengers to adjust the air conditioning temperature as desired. Not only that, other modern features such as Wireless Charging and Electric Parking Brake are also available in this SUV.

It should be noted, specifically for the 1.5 Turbo variant, equipped with an ADAS active safety feature that is able to reduce unwanted risks when driving. The ADAS feature consists of Smart Cruise Control with Auto Stop and Go, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist with Junction Turning, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Near Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, Speed Limit Assist Manual, High Beam Assist, Safe Exit Warning, and Driver Attention Warning.

Regarding the engine choice, The New Kia Seltos is available in two variants of the engine, Kia Seltos Premiere 1.5 Turbo, and Kia Seltos Premiere 1.5. In the 1.5 Turbo engine variant, this vehicle is equipped with a Smartstream G 1.5 T-GDI engine with a capacity of 1,500 cc capable of producing 160 PS power and 253 Nm torque. Using Dual Clatch 7-acceleration transmission, The New Kia Seltos offers the sensation of driving like a sports car. Meanwhile, the Premiere 1.5 variant adopts a 1,500cc Smartstream G 1.5 engine with a capacity of 1,500cc which promises a power of 115 PS and a 144 Nm torque with an 8-acceleration IVT transmission.

The SUV comes with five color options, including Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Gray, answering Silver, Glacier White Pearl, and Pewter Olive. Then, to provide peace of mind in ownership of The New Kia Seltos, Kia provides vehicle guarantees of 7 years or 200,000 kilometers for its customers.
