BMW Introduces Model M2 Update Version, Here's The Change

JAKARTA - BMW revealed an improvement in the model M2 model in 2025 with minor changes. One of the updates given to this sporty model is that the engine is more powerful.

Reporting from the brand's official website, Friday, June 14, this compact sedan still maintains the same 3.0 liter 6-cylinder engine as before. However, the manufacturer increased its power to 480 dk or an increase of 20 dk from the previous one with a maximum torque of up to 600 Nm.

The machine will be combined with an eight-speed M Steptronic with Drivelogic transmission system. However, BMW also offers manual transmission options for better driving pleasure.

With the transmission of eight M Steptronic accelerations, this car can run from 0 to 96 km/h in 3.9 seconds with the highest speed of 285 km/hour. Meanwhile, with manual transmission, the latest M2 is capable of accelerating from 0 to 96 km/h in 4.1 seconds with a maximum speed of 250 km/hour.

In addition, the German manufacturer also brought changes to the back such as the exhaust pipe. These four exhausts are black as standard. Further changes include a model appointment badge on the trunk cap and grip, which is now black and given a silver edge.

Although the design of the rim is presented the same as before with a size of 19 inches up front and 20 inches behind, now the iron sheaf is given a bright silver finish as optional.

The interior of the car has also undergone changes with a curved display screen equipped with the BMW 8.5 operating system and iDrive 8.5 decorated with special M graphics.

BMW also makes its interior more minimal with settings such as temperature control, ventilation, seat heaters, and steering steering steering steering heating settings inserted into the infotainment system. While the natural steering wheel changes by adopting a flat-bottomed design with a center marker at the top, making it feel like it's in a racing car.

BMW M2 will be produced at the San Luis Potosi factory, Mexico, along with the standard Series-2. The car will be launched globally in August 2024.
