Recall Tiggo 5X In The Philippines, Postponed Launch In Indonesia?

JAKARTA - PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) has confirmed that it will launch the Tiggo 5X series in mid-June 2024. Previously, Tiggo 5X was officially introduced at the IIMS 2024 exhibition event.

This assurance was conveyed directly by the Head of Brand Department of PT CSI Rifkie Setiawan, and the price he made sure had nothing to do with the recall in the Philippines.

"We haven't launched yet, so if Indonesia is safe. Several countries have been found, and we are even more thorough and it means it is profitable to be more stringent in quality control," he said, when met in the Jakarta area, recently.

When asked about the delay in launch, he said it was not due to the matter of recall, but rather to its place.

"No, more to the place," he added.

On the same occasion, he also ensured that the current price until the launch was still the same. This means that for the classical variant it is Rp. 249 million, and the Champion it is Rp. 279 million.

"The price is still the same until the launch and we will do it (launching) in mid-June," he explained.

Until now, the man who is familiarly called Rifkie revealed that Chery Tiggo's 5X request was classified as positive. In fact, the order has reached 100 units.

"For details, the Champion variant dominates up to 80 percent, and that's normal in Indonesia, it must be the highest variant that sells better," he concluded.
