Subaru Introduces WRX Club Spec Special Edition

JAKARTA - Good news comes from Subaru for fans in Australia. The Japanese manufacturer announced the launch of a special edition model, the WRX Club Spec, with only 150 units produced.

Reporting from Carscoops, Thursday, March 7, the WRX Club Spec reflects the WRX TR that is already available in the US market, but with striking design differences, especially on the more prominent rear wing, reminiscent of the recent Subaru STI car style.

This model will be equipped with a 19-inch rim set surrounded by Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires (measure 245/35 R19), similar to the TR version which includes a red Brembo caliber brake.

The WRX Spec Club will use the Brembo brake with a larger disk, which is 340 mm up front and 326 mm behind. However, there is no information regarding the level of rigidity this model has when compared to TR.

Despite the various differences from other variants, the WRX Spec Club will continue to carry the same engine as its standard version, namely a 2.4 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine which produces 271 ps of power and 350 Nm of torque.

The personnel will be distributed to all four wheels (4WD) via manual transmission of six accelerations. The Lineartronic CVT transmission option is not available for this special edition.

The Subaru WRX Spec Club is presented on a limited basis in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the name WRX which has become an icon in various models in Australia. The car will be available starting this April, with the price and details of its details to be announced ahead of its launch.
