When Are The Lower Variants Of Dolphin And Atto 3 Present In Indonesia? This Is What BYD Said

JAKARTA - BYD Indonesia officially announced the prices of the three electric cars at IIMS 2024, but for the models, Dolphin and Atto only have the highest variants available for the Indonesian market.

Dolphin, for example, comes with a premium variant (extended range) which is sold for IDR 425 million with a distance of 490 km, while Atto 3 variants of superior extended range with a price of IDR 515 million with a distance of 486 km.

In fact, they have been explained that both of them are present in two variants. Why isn't there a lower variant yet for sale?

"We understand very well that providing the lower variant is competitive, but actually for now more are interested in the high level (high variant)," said Luther T. Panjaitan, Head of Marketing of PT BYD Motor Indonesia, at IIMS 2024.

Furthermore, he said that when pre-booking the data received, there were more of the highest variants, and gradually it would bring the lower variant.

"It shouldn't take long to enter the lower variant," he added.

When asked when the right time was, he did not describe the details, it's just that BYD Indonesia will take advantage of a moment like this (shower) to see the demand movement.

"It can be fast a month or two, but we will study it first and observe it," he concluded.
