Constrained By Software, Delivery Of Volvo EX30 Experienced Delays

JAKARTA - Launching in June last year, Volvo EX30 received a positive response thanks to its advanced performance and technology, and comes as an electric car at affordable prices. However, customers must be patient because the manufacturer has postponed the delivery of this model.

Reporting from Automotive News, Tuesday, January 30, the Swedish auto brand announced the postponement of this compact small SUV shipment due to problems with the software on the vehicle.

Volvo states that the company has gone to great lengths to address this issue in order to speed up the EX30 delivery process. However, the latest software has not met the required requirements for release.

"Some customers have to wait a few extra days so their cars can be delivered, while we handle some small details. However, with the resolution of this issue, we can't wait to speed up deliveries," said a company spokesman.

EX30, which has been registered and is poised to be removed from dealers after software repair, has been impacted by delays in shipments in the global market.

The company also explained that this software update cannot be done over-the-air and must go through a dealer network. This update will start this Tuesday.

EX30, as the second EV model of Volvo, is experiencing a similar problem with the previous model, EX90, related to the software system.

Despite having compact dimensions, Volvo EX30 offers impressive performance with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/hour in just 3.5 seconds.

Volvo provides single-motor options with an LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) standard range battery, which is more cost-effective and more efficient in resource use. This is the best choice for those who don't need maximum range.

In addition, there is the Single Motor Extended Range variant with a NMC-based long-range battery (Lithium-Nickel-Manganese-Capalt), which has higher energy efficiency. This option provides a range of up to 480 km per charge.
