Quite Cheap But VW ID.7 Vizzion Only Ordered 300 Units, This Is The Cause

JAKARTA - Volkswagen ID.7 Vizzion officially launched on the Chinese market some time ago at a more affordable price. However, the interest in the model in the bamboo curtain country was not as big as expected for electric cars in general.

Reporting from Carnewschina, Tuesday, December 19, this car has only managed to receive 300 orders since its launch. This is regrettable considering that this sedan is offered at a price of 237,700 yuan or around Rp. 519.8 million, half of the price set for the European market.

According to research from CarFans, in the first 72 hours since its launch, the car has received only one order from every 20 consumers in China. The conversion rate of 5 percent shows that consumer interest in this vehicle is relatively low.

Furthermore, 80-90 percent of interested consumers are proven to be men with an average age of around 40 years. VW ID.7 is considered the second vehicle in the family and is an interesting alternative besides Passat.

However, the report also states that prices that are still high are one of the factors that hinder consumer interest. Consumers also expressed their satisfaction with the vast interior, but were not happy with having to pay extra for features such as a heating chair.

Customer responses show that VW is not successful in aligning production with market demand and only promoting ID.7 configurations that are not in demand by consumers. This resulted in buyers having to wait for the configuration they wanted for a long time.

VW ID.7 Vizzion is the result of a collaboration between FAW-VW and SAIC-VW. Visually, this car carries the latest design of a futuristic VW ID with a hidden door handle.

With a length of 4,956 mm, a width of 1,862 mm, a height of 1,537 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,965 mm, this sedan has an NMC battery with a capacity of 84.8 kWh, capable of traveling 642 km for two-wheel drive versions and 570 km for four-wheel drive.
