Ahead Of The Launch, The First Electric Sedan Xiaomi SU7 Conducts An Internal Test At The Zhejiang Circuit

JAKARTA - After revealing the specifications when applying for a sales license in China, and several times caught on camera parking on the Chinese road, Xiaomi's first electric car, SU7, has been revealed to be conducting internal testing at the Zhejiang International Circuit in Shaoxing.

Quoted from the Carnewschina page, Wednesday, December 6, the electric sedan, which has a futuristic design and will compete with the Tesla Model 3 and BYD Seal, is seen wrapped in red, white and black camouflage with few spoilers that can be seen, no deeper information regarding the test.

However, it is certain that the electric car will launch this December. Later Xiaomi will hold a press conference for its launch along with the pre-order period.

Although the exact date has not been announced, China's local media said that December 27 will be the 1000th day since Xiaomi announced it would build a car, and it is estimated that date will be chosen.

As is known, Xiaomi SU7 will be the first EV made by the smartphone giant and will start mass production of its first car in the first half of 2024.

This electric car will be contracted by the Beijing Automotive Industry Corporation (BAIC). This is commonplace for EV startups in China. For example, the Xpeng car was originally made by Hamima and JAC initially made a Nio car.

Meanwhile in December, local media also reported that Xiaomi SU7 is entering its fifth phase of production line verification (PT5) at Beijing's BAIC plant in the Yizhuang area. The plant plans to complete 300 test vehicles in December and prepare for mass production in early 2024.
