Will Launch In Indonesia, Honda Accord Wins This Prestigious Award

Honda has again made positive achievements with three models, namely Accord, CR-V, and Civic. The three models won the Car and Driver 10Best 2024 award or entered the list of the 10 best cars for Civic and Accord as well as the 10 best cars in the Truck and SUV categories for CR-V.

This does not include the premium brand, Acura, which is also included in this list through Integra Type S. Thus, American Honda Motor Co. was successfully represented by four models in this prestigious event.

"For Honda, this award is not just an acknowledgment of Civic, Accord, and CR-V, but is a motivation for every Honda partner to continue to create, build and sell products that create joy for our customers," said Lance Woelfer, Assistant Vice President of Honda National Sales, on the company's website, Tuesday, November 5.

Thus, this Japanese manufacturer has won 92 awards from the automotive media which was founded in 1955 as well as the most compared to other brands. At least one Honda has earned a place on the list of the 10th-best annual since the start of the award in 1983.

Honda Accord is Honda's best-selling model in the US market for five decades and the most in winning the award with a long margin compared to other cars. The premium sedan has been on the list 38 times, including the last 26 years in a row.

Following the success of Accord, this is the tenth time the Civic model has been included in the list. Then, the CR-V model has been included in the award for the fifth time.

Both the latest Accord and CR-V are electrification models presented by Honda. These two models are the best-selling series by contributing to sales of more than 50 percent. Both vehicles are supported by a new and more sophisticated Honda two-moto hybrid system that maximizes efficiency, but does not sacrifice performance.

The latest generation Honda CR-V made its debut in Indonesia through the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) in August by presenting a variant of RS e: HEV or hybrid with a tag worth IDR 804.5 million on Jakarta.

Following the SUV, Honda will reportedly also bring the latest generation Accord with hybrid technology for the Indonesian market. This is evidenced by the name of this model listed in the DKI Jakarta Motor Vehicle Selling Value (NKJB) code CY26 CVT ZZ Hospital at a price of around Rp956 million.
