Today's Chery officially presents Omoda 5 GT as one of the highest variant vehicles of this series. With the presence of this model, it further strengthens the manufacturer's commitment to launching many vehicles in Indonesia.

Having a design similar to other Omoda 5 variants, this highest variant appears with a touch of orange on some components such as bumpers, mirrors, back spoilers, and some other parts, giving a quite striking sporty impression.

This Chinese manufacturer has also updated the goal design with the "Omode" emblem seen at the front and rear of the vehicle. How is the impression while driving? Interior Comfort

Entering the interior, the driver and passenger immediately felt the comfort of the 5 GT Omoda with a premium seat and room.

In the back seat, passengers can sit comfortably thanks to the legroom and adequate headroom. However, high passengers (above 175 cm) may feel a little limited to the headspace.

In contrast to the front, high drivers (above 170 cm) will feel comfortable with good visibility. Sitting position and steering wheel that can be arranged typically and telescopically make the driving experience even more enjoyable.

Machine Performance

On this occasion, VOI had the opportunity to experience the performance of the Omoda 5 GT All-Wheel Drive (AWD) paired with a 1,600 cc turbo TGDI engine.

This large capacity engine produces 197 dk of power and 290 Nm of torque, making it the best in the Omoda 5 family. When stepping on the gas pedal, the car responded quickly. However, we have not been able to test its performance optimally due to limited time and place.

Handling Suspension

During the trial, we were faced with various obstacles such as mound terrain, cone crossing, and incline.

Omoda 5 GT managed to bulldoze these obstacles impressively. The SUV's multilink suspension works well, although it is more suitable for daily and long-distance travel than for a sharp bend due to its rather large size.

Chery once again proves its ability by launching the Omoda 5 GT which has better performance. The presence of the Omoda 5 GT SUV further heats up the competition for high performance SUVs in Indonesia. Even so, this SUV is more suitable for daily use and long-distance travel than for high-speed driving.
