JAKARTA - The Indonesian people are considered not to believe in the capabilities of electric vehicles. For this reason, education is needed for consumers regarding these vehicles that are considered environmentally friendly.

This was conveyed by the Marketing and PR Director of MG Motor Indonesia, Arief Syarifuddin. According to him, consumers of electric vehicles in Indonesia still need to get more education.

"questions such as the beginning of electric vehicles entering Indonesia may still be asked a lot, such as when the car was flooded, what will happen? Then the charging is still being asked a lot," said Arief in Jakarta on Saturday, May 20.

Thus, collaboration between parties is important to continue to be carried out both from producers and the government must continue to be in harmony in educating the public.

In addition, the provision of infrastructure must also continue to be developed in order to create a more positive electric vehicle ecosystem. So, users and potential users of electric vehicles can feel comfortable when they use it.

"When we talk about challenges, it is inseparable from infrastructure. Of course we cannot leave the problem to the government 100 percent, we as producers must also participate in fertilizing the service," he explained, as quoted from Antara.

Currently, his party is preparing various needs needed by consumers of electric vehicles by providing fast charging in every MG dealers in Indonesia.

Not only that, MG's commitment to electric vehicles will also be realized through cooperation with the government, through the State Electricity Company (PLN), in the near future. Even so, his party has not been able to provide details of the cooperation.

"We will also shake hands with PLN, so next month we will establish cooperation that is for the satisfaction and comfort of our consumers in Indonesia and one of them is by attracting PLN," he said.

"As much as possible, there will be next month," he added.

Currently, MG is focusing on marketing the MG4 EV which is claimed to have quite good reception even though the price of the vehicle is still kept secret.

It is known that together, the advantage of this vehicle is the presence of the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature. Through this feature, MG4 EV is able to distribute electrical power capable of up to 2.2 kilowatts through adapters to other media such as cellphones, laptop computers, and even musical equipment.
